Be grateful
I RELY on the buses to get home from work and I pay a full price fare.
I had to go into town one morning and made the mistake of catching the number 1 bus from the Becket pub.
When I got on there was not a single free seat. I then realised that this would be the first "free bus" for pensioners.
I had to stand the majority of the journey, which would not normally a problem except I currently have my left hand heavily bandaged, having recently had an operation.
Do you think anyone offered me a seat? Not a chance!
I struggled to hold on with one hand and eventually towards the end of my journey a kind gentleman offered me an available seat.
What made me angry was the simple fact that a lot of these people have a FREE service and get a seat and I pay and I don't. I would always give up my seat for someone less able than myself.
So, pensioners of Worthing, please be grateful for your free pass and stop complaining.
