I CAN be described at the "Conservative elderly" referred to in the letter from Mr Mullins, but I fully agree with everything he said.
The problem as I see it is that the council is too frightened to act to improve and modernise the town, just in case they antagonise the voluble elderly.
Unfortunately, it is the minority of the elderly that are the voluble ones who hate change, whereas the majority, which includes me, tend to keep our mouths shut.
So it's our fault for keeping quiet; it's up to us to make our feelings known.
