I SEE no problem with the 9.30am start if you are able to catch a bus just after that team.
But the bus I use most frequently is an hourly service and because of the timing, half the morning is gone before I am able to start my journey.

As for keeping the early buses free for schoolchildren and workers, I thought they all had to be at their desks by 9am.

Actually, in this day and age where more and more parents are going to work you'll find that a lot of use do not start at 9.00am. I'm lucky enough to work on Flexi time, which means I get in when I want, and leave when I want. I still have to complete my contracted hours though, so if I'm held up for 30mins by a bus that is packed with oldies then I run into deficit, which I cannot make up as I have to leave to pick up my children from school. Your complaint should be to the bus company about the frequency of the bus service you use, not bashing those of us, getting of out behinds and trying to get to work!
