I COMPLETELY agree with Mark Dallen (Birdman for Worthing letter).
He has mentioned all the totally valid points that came to my mind.

As soon as I heard that Bognor could not host it, I thought it must be obvious that Worthing could use our excellent, under-used pier for this much-publicised event.

Pier Day has proved popular for two years.

I am sure Bognor organisers would help with the planning etc., as they have the knowledge, having hosted it for so many years.

Not all seaside towns have a pier, let alone in such excellent condition, so let's give it go.

What's to lose?!
