I AM writing to bring about a little bit of balance in the way the young people of our town are valued.
My daughter, who is 16, and a group of three other teenagers, all took it upon themselves to do a sponsored rollerblade from Brighton to Worthing Pier.
They were keen to raise money for Worthing Light Opera Company, where they are all members, to
help fund their next production of The Mikado in September.
I am so in admiration of their commitment and their huge effort to complete this task and would like other people in Worthing to know that there are a vast number of talented, committed and energetic teenagers out there in our town, doing fabulous work for the benefit of their community and it's high time they are applauded for their efforts.
I would also like to congratulate the excellent Worthing Light Opera Company for welcoming young people into their company and encouraging them to develop their talents and take on new challenges. They are an excellent local amateur company and well worthy of our support.
