DAY one of the strike, and my street is full of black sacks awaiting collection.
The Seagulls are having a field day.

Why could the council not put leaflets through doors to warn people, not all of us read the papers or can be up to date with news. Most of my neighbours obviously don't.

Also, the answering machine at the t
own hall, just states there is a strike, ok I think we guessed that! However, they didn't think to say when we could expect the next collection. Do we wait until next Wed, or do we keep putting it out on the street every day until it is collected?

Forward planning, notification would be good for the rate payers, and also for the environment.

The council website has what you need to do, it was in the paper last week too. Hope this helps.
