IT would appear that people are NOT aware of the hardship caused by the 9.30am bus pass.
I have yet to see buses packed to capacity between 7.30am and 9.30am.
At about 9.17am last week my wife and I saw a Stagecoach 700 leaving the town centre completely empty. How is this peak travel time?
The 9.30am bus pass is a joke.

Dear Mr and Mrs Douglas,
I was the bus driver of the 9.17 and could have picked you up in my empty bus, but old people smell of wee and talk about the good old days, so off i went!

I'd just like to point out that that wasn't me who wrote that.

I'm sick to the back teeth of people complaining that they cannot use their FREE travel passes before 9.30am. I work, and after dropping off my children at school take the pulse into town to my job, this is now so much easier and quicker, the buses are rarely backed up and they no longer sail past because they are full of OAP's on their way to the market! Now I hate to generalise but the OAP's I used to encounter on the way to work were generally pushy and obnoxious, insisting they get on first and tutting with disgust if someone so much as dared to try and get on the bus before them! I have to pay a lot of money for my weekly ticket, you don't so suck it up and enjoy the benefit you have been given without whinging and complaining! And as for the 700, considering they seem to run every 5 mins, it's not surprising that it was empty!

I find the buses are now packed with the elderly, especially in this hot weather, and you cannot get a seat. They are reluctant to move when a young mum gets on with a pushchair; they sit in the innermost seat and park their bags next to them so someone has to ask them to move - they don't get two free seats, do they? Elderly men stick their legs in the gangway so you have to ask them to move their legs. What is the problem with letting them get on earlier? Early buses are quite empty as most people drive to work, and the elderly often wake up early, surely this would ease the congestion.
