TODAY, I have had a penalty charge notice placed on my vehicle in Ann Street, Worthing.
Apparently, the parking bay I parked in was suspended. There was no visible notice that the bay was out of use.
When I returned to my car and found the ticket, one of the workers from a shop nearby pointed out that there was a notice on the wall about 50 yards from where I parked.
This was a notice with a hand drawn diagram showing the bays out of use and was not next to the bays themselves.
There is no way that anyone could see this from their car.
Adjacent to the bays was the official parking voucher notice and had no indication on it that the bays were not in use.
I am absolutely outraged that NCP are given permission by Worthing Borough Council to enforce penalty notices when motorist are being deceived in this way.
