Published Date: 27 August 2008
I MOVED house in March this year and arranged for the "Redirection of Mail" service for a period of six months, duly paid the appropriate fee and received letters from Royal Mail to confirm that the redirection was accepted and would be done.
All was well for the first three months and I received redirected mail as I would have expected.

Having notified most of the senders of correspondence of a change of address, the number of redirected mail dwindled as one would expect.

I sudde
nly realised that I was receiving no redirected mail during the month of August and, in fact, do not recall any redirected mail in July either.

I rang the Royal Mail to express my concern and the lady who answered my call stated that she could see the redirection service on her screen and all was in order up to and including the month of September, but she would email the sorting office concerned just to check all was in place.

I still have not received any redirected mail in the month of August and as an experiment have sent a stamped addressed envelope to my previous address.

This envelope as yet has still not been redirected.
