THE ARSENAL XI fixture has been lost to Worthing FC's pre-season programme.
It has had to be moved from August 12, five days from the start of the Ryman League, to August 28, the Thursday following the Bank Holiday Monday. By that time, Rebels will have already played four league games and on the following Saturday will be i
n the FA Cup preliminary round away to Camberley or Lordswood.
Worthing's pre-season programme now comprises:
a team going to Whitehawk on Saturday, July 26 (3pm);
the first team going to Bognor Regis Town on Friday, August 1 (7.45pm);
an XI going to Chichester City United on Tuesday, August 5 (7.30);
Horsham v Worthing at Woodside follows on Saturday, August 9 (3).
The disappearance of the Arsenal date on August 12 now leaves a vacant week for Rebels between the Horsham match and the first league game on August 16, at home to Folkestone Invicta.
