RUSTINGTON got the result of the day on Saturday when they knocked County League leaders Ringmer out of the Sussex RUR Cup.
Division 2 Blues will now host Oakwood, St Francis or Hailsham in the quarter-finals after goals from James Bennett (two) and Steve Kirkham fired them past Ringmer, 3-0.

In County League Division 1, Arundel and Shoreham both enjoyed 3-0 victories.
Gary Norgate, Mike Huckett and Howard Neighbour netted for Arundel in their home win over Oakwood, while Dean Smith, Rob Boddy and Owen Callaghan struck for Shoreham at East Grinstead.

Wick defeated Redhill 2-1 with all the goals coming in the last two minutes before half-time. Julian Curnow and Lee Barnard netted for Wick.

Bottom-club East Preston suffered a 3-1 reverse at Three Bridges, and second-bottom Worthing United lost by the same score at home to Eastbourne UA.

In the Division 2 Cup, Steyning Town lost to a last-minute 2-1 winner at Rye. Lee Waterhouse had equalised for Steyning five minutes into the second half.

In Division 2, Southwick moved into fourth place with a 3-1 victory at Sidlesham. Dave McNeill, with two, and James Wotherspoon scored for Wickers.

Danny Hand was om target for Littlehampton in their 1-1 draw at Loxwood, and Lloyd Skinner netted for Mile Oak in their 1-1 draw at Seaford.

Storrington lost 1-0 at home to Sidley, and Lancing were beaten by the same score at Westfield.

In Division 3, Clymping remain second after their 2-0 success at Pease Pottage.
