WORTHING UNITED were beaten 1-0 at Hailsham Town in one of the all-County League ties in th FA Cup extra-preliminary round on Saturday (August 16).
A goal in the 19th minute by Scott Macdonald was enough to give The Greens the £750 cheque from the increased prize fund this season. The crowd figure was 79.

Lancing play Erith & Belvedere at Welling United tomorrow at 5pm.

Southwick got a 1-1
draw at Cobham (replay Tuesday) and East Preston a 3-0 win at Westfield, while Mile Oak won 3-0 at home to another Surrey club, Bookham, and Selsey 1-0 at home to Egham Town.

Eastbourne UA, however, lost 4-2 at home to their Surrey opposition, Epsom & Ewell, and Wick 3-0 to theirs, Molesey. Whitehawk were held 0-0 at home by Croydon.

At home to Kent clubs, Pagham went down 5-1 at home to Hythe Town, Three Bridges 3-2 to VCD Athletic from Crayford, and Redhill 2-1 to Herne Bay. But at Faversham Town, Horsham YMCA won 2-0.

In all-Sussex clashes, Crawley Down drew 2-2 at home to Chichester (replay also Tuesday) and Hassocks lost their home match 1-0 to Shoreham but played it at Lancing. Littlehampton, likewise owing to cricket, borrowed Bognor Regis Town to stage their home tie with Peacehaven, and Golds lost it 5-2.
