Assault on Worthing man: three held

THREE men have been arrested following an assault at Worthing in the early hours of today (Saturday, April 26).
The victim, a 38-year-old Worthing man, was approached by at least two men as he crossed the Jacob's Ladder Bridge near Tarring Road, at about 3.30am. For some reason not yet known, he was then attacked.

After treatment for his injuries at Worthing Hospital, he was later released.

Three men were arrested by police shortly afterwards in the same area and were due to be questioned in connection with the assault later.

Any witnesses to the assault are asked to telephone Worthing Police on 0845 60 70 999.
