DRIVERS are being warned to take care of their valuables when they're parked at beauty spots.
Would-be thieves tried to break into a car parked in Durrington Rise car park while the owners were out walking.
Sergeant Ian Kerr of Worthing Police said: "Fortunately, they did not make off with any property.
"We would remind people to be alert when parking their cars at known beauty spots."
Cars should be secured and no valuables should be left inside.
Sat Nav takenTHIEVES stole a Sat Nav from a car which had one of its windows left slightly open.
The theft from the Vauxhall Vectra happened between 4 and 5pm on Tuesday, June 23.
Door vandalisedVANDALS dented a car parked overnight in Worthing.
The Hyundai Coupe has its driver's side panel dented sometime between 6pm on Tuesday, June 24 and 9am the following morning.
Number plates stolenA CAR had its number plates stolen while parked overnight in Worthing.
The black BMW 5 series was attacked in Queen Street between midnight on Wednesday, June 24 and 10am the following day.
Anyone with information about the stolen plates, registration number W146 RRW.
