FIRE crews in Worthing have tackled a blaze which destroyed a shed, a fire in a pub kitchen and a blaze in a home without a smoke alarm.
Shed destroyedFIREFIGHTERS were called to Sompting Road, Broadwater, at 2.17am yesterday (Tuesday, August 26) to tackle a shed fire.
The shed was completely destroyed in the fire, which was believed to have been arson.
Kitchen fireTHE kitchen at the Alexandra pub in Lyndhurst Road, East Worthing, accidentally caught fire at 12.30am on Bank Holiday Monday (August 25).
Firefighters from Worthing were called to the pub to put out the fire in the ground floor kitchen.
No smoke alarmA FIRE broke out in an under-stairs cupboard at the home of a 19-year-old woman.
Firefighters were called to the blaze at Downlands Avenue, Worthing, at around 4.30pm on Thursday, August 21.
It had been put out by a neighbour by the time crews arrived, but before they left they fitted a smoke alarm as the property did not previously have one.
