ONE of London's 2012 Olympic flags was carried through West Sussex in Worthing.
Worthing was the last stop in a relay of events held across the county, with a series of seven community picnics organised to mark to handover of the Olympic torch from China to the UK.
Families dressed up for the event which ended with a lantern procession and the raising of the flag on Sunday, August 24.
The vent marked the end of the games in Beijing, and the start of the countdown to the 2012 Olympics in London.
The relay team, carrying a ceremonial baguette, arrived at Steyne Gardens, Worthing, at around 8.30pm, and led a lantern procession around the site.
A handover flag was then raised before a performance by choral group Vocal Explosion
