STRIKE: No bin collection in Worthing and Adur for two days

REFUSE collectors are joining other members of UNISON for a two-day strike.
No rubbish or recycling collections will take place in Worthing and Adur on Wednesday, July 16 and Thursday, July 17.
Industrial Action

People are asked not to put bags, boxes or bins out on their of those two days.

No replacement collection will take place in areas which receive a weekly collection, but extra rubbish will be collected the following week.

In areas where collections are fortnightly, households will have a one-off collection on Saturday, July 19.

Waste and recycling Sites in Dominion Way, Worthing and Brighton Road, Shoreham, will remain open.

Ken Green, executive head of recycling and waste management, says: "Adur and Worthing Council Services apologises for any inconvenience these arrangements will cause local residents, but these are only being implemented for reasons beyond our control."
