A STABBING, vandalism and an assault are just some of the crimes reported in Worthing this week.
Man assaulted outside club

Police are appealing for a witness to an assault outside a nightclub in Worthing to come forward.

It is thought a man who left the Light Bar in Chatsworth Road at around 2am on Wednesday, April 23, may have seen how another man came to suffer several injuries.

Police said CCTV footage shows the unknown man leaving the bar just before another man is thrown out by bouncers.

On the CCTV footage, police said the witness appears to look in the direct of the assault, but the camera does not capture what happened to the victim.

Bowls club break in

WORTHING Pavilion Bowling Club's headquarters was ransacked after it was broken into last week.

But despite the would-be thieves causing around £800 of damage, it is thought nothing was stolen during the incident between 11am and 12.30pm on Tuesday, April 29.

The damage was discovered when a member returned to the club building in Pavilion Road to find the door had been kicked open and the contents of several lockers had been scattered around.

Resident stabbed by mystery man

A MAN was stabbed after a masked stranger knocked on the door of his home.

Police would not say what injuries the man received, but said he was taken to Worthing Hospital by paramedics after the incident in Winterbourne Court in Winterbourne Close, Durrington, at 8.40pm on Monday.

It is thought the stranger, who wore a balaclava, randomly knocked at the door of the man's home then stabbed him with an unknown object.

Police do not believe anything was stolen from the house but are asking any witnesses to the attack to come forward.

Cars vandalised

SIX cars were damaged during an overnight spree by vandals.

The windows on the vehicles were smashed and their wing mirrors were kicked off during the rampage on Monday night.

All the cars affected were parked in Downview Road and Westcourt Road, Worthing.

Anyone with information about any of these crimes, should contact Worthing police on 0845 6070999.
