INCIDENT FILE: Fires and accidents over-night in Worthing – with map

FIRE crews were called out to a collision between two cars and a fire at a block of flats.
Petrol spill

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to clear up a petrol spillage after two cars collided in Broadwater yesterday (Wednesday, March 19).

Two cars were involved in a small collision along Broadwater Road, at its junction with Sompting Road, at 6.20pm and petrol from the cars spilled onto the road.

Evacuation

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a flat in Farncombe Road, Worthing, early this morning (Thursday, March 20) to put out a small electrical fire.

By the time firefighters arrived at 12.45am, everyone had been evacuated from the flat, along with other flats in the block.

The crew also fitted smoke alarms while they were there.
