Wrestling superstar Doug Williams tops the bill at the Portslade Sports Centre tonight (March 19).

The multi-winning former American TNA and Ring of Honour champion, and idol of the fans who follow the giants of the ring at Worthing’s Assembly Hall, is the big name on a grappling spectacular.

The booking of Williams, who has not appeared in the Brighton area for over seven years, is a major coup for the sports centre and is expected to break all previous attendance records at the hall.

Williams, the reigning Premier Wrestling Federation international title-holder, is set to clash with controversial Londoner Stingray Stevenson.

He was runner-up in the 2015 Worthing Trophy tournament.

The show also features PWF championship action when local favourite Barry Cooper defends the welterweight crown against “The Prince of Mumbai” Rishi Ghosh, who defeated Cooper in a non-title bout on the last Portslade show.

The line-up will also include New Zealand ace Aaron Henry who is on a world tour of Europe, America and Japan, and former young wrestler of the year “Dazzling” Darrell Allen.

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, are available from the sports centre, telephone 01273 411100.
