CONCERT: Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra welcomes Stephanie Oade

Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra welcomes Stephanie Oade to play Lalo’s rarely-heard but magnificent cello concerto for its last concert of the season on Saturday, June 25.

Spokeswoman Rachel Bellingham said: “The overture to Die Fledermaus opens (the concert) with a depiction of the popping of champagne corks and continues with some gloriously memorable tunes and Beethoven’s Pastoral is surely one of the most beautiful symphonies ever written!”

Rachel added: “Acclaimed for her visionary and sophisticated playing, Stephanie has a wide and exciting repertoire encompassing many musical styles and eras.

The concert is at the Assembly Hall, Worthing, at 7.30pm.
