Darcy Bussell praises Hastings and Bexhill dance academy

Babyballet, which holds classes in Summerfields Leisure Centre and Bexhill Leisure Centre won best dance franchise and best dance brand at the annual Dance Teacher Hub awards.

Hasting’s and Bexhill’s babyballet classes are taught by Jade Wilkinson, who joined the franchise last year.

Jade, who holds 20 classes in Eastbourne, Bexhill and Hastings each week said: “It has been a remarkable journey and we have achieved so much in a short time.

“I am over the moon we have won these two prestigious awards. Awards like these make it all worthwhile not just for me but for everyone involved with the company.”

The awards were presented at Move It, a major UK dance event after judges considered applications.

Judges included former ballet dancer, Darcey Bussell and other well known dancers, presenters and choreographers; Laura Wilson, Matt Flint, Ryan Jenkins and Tom Shilcock.
