DAYS OUT: Weald and Downland Open Air Museum

The award-winning Weald and Downland Open Air Museum is set in 50 acres of the South Downs National Park.

It gives visitors the chance to wander among a fascinating collection of nearly 50 original rescued historic buildings dating from the 13th Century to the 19th Century, and the opportunity to gaze upon many beautiful period gardens, together with farm animals, woodland walks and a picturesque lake.

There is a working 17th century watermill and Tudor kitchen, and regular demonstrations of traditional rural trades and crafts. With such a variety of things to do, the Museum provides a wonderful day out for parents and children of all ages.
