FESTIVAL: Celebration of Steam at Weald and Downland Open Air Museum

THE Weald and Downland Open Air Museum is holding its annual Festival of Steam in August.

The event will take place at the museum in Singleton on August 13 and 14.

Exhibits will range from huge working engines, showman’s engines and steam rollers, to scale models which will rove around the site during the event.

There will be steam lorries, cars, model boats on the lake, and several rides on narrow-gauge railways.

As well as the central arena displays, there will be demonstrations of steam power at work around the site.

It is open from 10.30am to 5pm each day.
