Site manager Ross McLaughlin said “We are thrilled to be getting ready to welcome guests back through our doors and back to the magic of cinema. We remain committed to the safety of our guests and our staff during the ongoing pandemic and all of our previous Covid-safe measures remain in place.

“Measures taken at The Dome include heavily reduced capacities in all auditoriums, temperature checks on arrival and increased fresh air flow.

“Under current guidance, all guests aged 16 and over are also required to check in using the NHS Track & Trace app or provide track and trace information on arrival. To date, there have been no reported cases of Covid-19 linked to cinemas worldwide.

“We have some great films scheduled to open over the summer months, including Peter Rabbit 2, Godzilla Vs Kong, Nomadland and Saw: From The Book Of Spiral on our very first day back opening.

“I’m sure that we will have something to please everyone.

“Other films scheduled to release in UK cinemas over May and June include Disney’s Cruella, Anthony Hopkin’s Oscar-winning The Father, Dream Horse, A Quiet Place Part II and musical In The Heights.”

Tickets for the first week of opening can be booked now through The Dome Cinema’s website at www.domecinema.co.uk, with further dates added every Monday evening.

The Dome also have one-day screenings of documentary Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In and Pedro Almodovar’s The Human Voice.
