FILM REVIEW: Texas Killing Fields

TWO police officers from very different backgrounds are drawn together to catch a serial killer in Ami Canaan Mann’s gritty, edge-of-seat thriller.

New York City cop Detective Brian Heigh (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) relocates to a small Texan town, where he is partnered with homicide detective Mike Souder (Sam Worthington).

The two men have opposing methods to catching criminals but both are fascinated by the activities of a killer who dumps the bodies of his victims in local marshes known as The Killing Fields.

Even though the crimes are outside of their jurisdiction, Heigh and Souder become embroiled in the case and ultimately pique the interest of the dastardly perpetrator.

The hunters become the hunted, then the killer targets local girl Anne Sliger (Chloe Grace Moretz).

Suddenly, the detectives must work together to beat the clock and prevent Anne becoming the next lifeless corpse in the marshes.
