LIVE MUSIC: December dates at Shoreham Ropetackle

AS the shopping intensifies and the weather gets colder, Shoreham’s Ropetacke Arts Centre has the perfect winter warmer in the form of a weekend of music.

Saturday, December 11, sees the welcome return of Mari Wilson’s Threesome!

Straight from her latest Radio 2 Show, Mari hits Ropetackle with her beautiful blend of jazz standards and inclusion of her show-stopping renditions of more contemporary numbers like Wild Horses and Be My Baby.

The power, sensitivity and sheer range of her voice mean she is justifiably described as “the beehive queen of retro pop – a cross between Karen Carpenter and Diana Ross. Feather light ballads, beautifully arranged”.

Sunday, December 12 has the suitably festive Christmas Concert with The Adur Concert Band.

Big band favourites and plenty of carols for all the family to join in with are the perfect way of creating Christmas cheer Dickens would be proud of. So come and enjoy the fun.

There are still a few tickets left for Bella Hardy with Anna Massie and Chris Sherburn (December 17) who will be creating a spectacular night of the best folk so get in quick as this will sell out.

It’s a similar story with Richard Durrant’s Winter Solstice Guitar Recital (December 21) as this is a winter treat for any music fan but tickets are going quick so try not to miss out.
