After many years of displaying at Lancing Parish Hall, the art club will this year put its show on in Lancing Methodist Church, in Chester Avenue, Lancing.

Eve Wilson, exhibition organiser, said: “The church venue enables us to open on Sunday afternoons for the first time and the room is a different shape, with a wider hall and wider ceiling, so it means we can display things differently.”

There is a private viewing on Friday, then the exhibition opens to the public, with free entry, from Saturday until Friday, August 26, 10am to 8pm daily, except Sunday 10am to 8pm, with early closing at 3.30pm on the last day.

On show will be a signpost called Time Lines, which was organised by Hugh Garrett and involved small works by different members. It features various historical themes, including aeroplanes and music.

Eve added: “There will be lots of different pictures to see and sculptures this year as well.”
