REVIEW: Bersted Park Community Choir, Boxgrove Village Hall.

Last Saturday evening many a festive tune was being sung by some fine voices whether in the guise of the popular Bersted Boys or from the members of the newly-formed Bersted Community Choir at Boxgrove Village Hall.

A packed house listened to the Trio – James Etheridge, Michael Gattrell and Will Hackett – sing solo, duet or as a trio and harmonise old tunes, new tunes and of course the classics. Their repertoire was vast highlights being a Winter Wonderland Medley, Drummer Boy, Perfect Year and Peace on Earth. They also gave the audience a surprise with a twist on The Twelve Days of Christmas all under the musical direction of Brett Wellcome.

The choir – who now has a core of about 30 members - had two sets one in each half most notably Happy, Dream A Little Dream and Away In a Manager led with precision by Choir leader Sue White.
