Rotary Club of Bexhill - July 25

THE new President of the Rotary Club of Bexhill for the coming year is Richard Harrison.

Richard is a partner with Menneer Shuttleworth Solicitors of Bexhill and St Leonards, and he and wife Vivien moved a little while ago to Hastings Old Town as Richard now works from the firm's St Leonards office.

They have a grown up family of three. The family previously lived in Bexhill for many years, during which time Richard was chairman of Bexhill Round Table, 41 Club and the Governors of Bexhill High School.

After thanking outgoing President John Meadows, looking forward to the year ahead, Richard said: " I hope that the club will continue to enjoy fun and fellowship while providing service above self."

The chosen charities for his year will be the 1066 Specials football team and Surviving Christmas, in recognition of all the good work that they do.

Richard says that he enjoys the good life, growing fruit and vegetables on his allotment, listening to Jazz and Blues and taking Labrador Harry for interesting walks in Hastings Country Park. He remains eternally optimistic about the fortunes of Fulham FC.
