Singing sea shanties for the museum
Chorus sheets will be provided for the audience to sing along with many of the songs and all proceeds from the evening will go to the museum. Tickets are £8 which include entry, a drink (beer wine or squash) and one of Tush and Pat’s famous Fisherman’s Rolls. Food available from 6pm and singing starts at 7pm. RX Shantymen are well known in the Old Town of Hastings due to their regular shanty sessions in the Jenny Lind on a Thursdays and are recognised nationally for performing sea shanties as well as introducing contemporary sea songs to a wider audience. The four members are Tom Kelly, Mick Bovee, Jon Tigwell and Scott Reid, and their mission is quite simply to spread the gospel of Shanty singing, entertain their audience, and have fun doing it. Tickets for this special evening are available from the museum in Rock-a-nore Road, Old Town, Hastings, or on the door on the night.
