OPEN auditions are to be held to find the best acts for a comedy revue show.

The show will be co-directed by funny man “H” Reeves, critically acclaimed for several comic performances in recent years, and Ian Churchill.

Auditions take place on Tuesday, March 8, and Tuesday, March 15, at 7.30pm, at The Barn Theatre, Southwick Street, Southwick.

Performers of stand-up routines, comedy song-and-dance numbers, comic verse or sketches will be asked to perform their own “party piece” as their audition for their routine to try to gain a place in the final line-up.

“H”, who is also performing in the show, said Just for Laughs was “something old, something new, something borrowed, but not too blue”.

He added: “I am looking for the very best of comedy talent in the area. Anybody auditioning must come prepared with his, or her, own comedy piece, and routines should last no longer than five minutes.

“I hope people of all ages will step forward to showcase their own special brand of humour.”
