Spokesman Simon Field said: “Richard is one of the very best exponents of the theatre organ in the world. He has had a long association with the Worthing Wurlitzer; indeed he played his first public concert at the Assembly Hall at the age of just 12, over 20 years ago.

“Richard’s talents were recognised by the BBC when in 2013 he was given his own promenade concert featuring him playing the Royal Albert Hall organ, the first time a promenade concert had been a solo organ recital.

“The concert on Sunday is one of the highlights of the year’s programme on the Wurlitzer, and we hope that anyone who wants to hear how good the organ can sound in expert hands will come and join us.

“Richard plays music that best suits the instrument he is performing on. On the Worthing Wurlitzer this tends to be light music compositions such as those by Ivor Novello, Frederick Curzon, Albert Ketelby, Ronald Binge and the like. The arrangements tend to be lush and very satisfying to listen to.”
