Spencer, a miniature dachshund, has been crowned the most photogenic pet in West Sussex and will now help promote Bovis Homes’ new Yapton View development.

Owner Zoe Stuttard from Climping said her six-year-old dog may be small in stature but he was big in personality, affectionate and playful.

Having had to have a back operation last year, Spencer was unable to walk for a while but quickly bounced back to full health and loves their long walks along the beach.

Zoë added: “I’m so proud that Spencer is the winner of the Star of the Show Home competition. Spencer is a sociable, friendly and energetic pup. I’ve always thought he was photogenic.”

Spencer will take part in a photoshoot at Yapton View, with the images being used on the website and for promotional materials.

Zoe will also receive a professional print and said she cannot wait to see the pictures.

To enter, pet owners had to submit a photograph of their pet with a short bio. For every entry, Vistry Group donated £5 to Clymping Dog Sanctuary and more than £150 was raised overall.

Ginny James, sales and marketing director, said: “We’re delighted to have had so much interest while being able to raise money for Clymping Dog Sanctuary. Choosing a winner was a tough decision but we’re pleased to crown Spencer as the most photogenic pet in West Sussex. He is going to make a great addition to our marketing materials.”
