“I have lived most of my life in West Sussex and am very excited to get this local venture up and running.”

The dance school is based at Heene Community Centre and the aim is to encourage everyone as an individual to gain confidence in performing in the three main areas of dancing, acting and singing.

Emma said: “With good teaching, grounded in solid technique, a student’s confidence is able to flourish.

“For the youngest classes, three to five years, we start with junior street dance, an all-round class which kicks off a child’s enthusiasm for dance.

“Then when children get a little older, from around six years, we split into separate classes for street dance and musical theatre.

“Street dance classes are funky/commercial style pure dance classes, whereas musical theatre classes involved singing, dancing and acting - learning routines and scenes from the big West End musicals.”

Classes wil run on Sundays, during term time. Visit www.danceshack.co.uk/worthing for more information.
