Whibleys The Jewellers said the clock gracing the front of its listed Georgian premises in Warwick Street had become ‘rather weather beaten’, with the seaside salt atmosphere taking its toll.

But following an extensive restoration, it is once again time for the iconic landmark to shine.

A spokesman from Whibleys said: “It is looking better than ever with beautiful black gloss paint and real gold leaf embellishment.”

The original clock was made by Bensons of London and dates back to the late 1800s.
