Rocking Horse Shoreham specialises in a range of interesting and creative cocktails, as well as serving wine and beer.

Owner Igor Beaulieu said it was something different for the town and said: “Everybody has been saying it’s what Shoreham has been waiting for.”

It is the third Rocking Horse cocktail bar that Mr Beaulieu has launched in Sussex.

The first branch opened in Brighton Road, Worthing, four years ago, followed by a second branch in Chichester’s Southgate.

The bar in Shoreham is decorated with the same quirky furniture and horse-related items.

Mr Beaulieu said the High Street location was the ‘perfect spot’, adding that he had been interested in securing a central venue in the town for years.

The Shoreham branch is the first of the bars to add food into the mix. Inspired by Shoreham’s coastal location, an artisan fish menu is offered.

Mr Beaulieu said: “Our ethos is to operate a small menu, using fresh ingredients and rotate dishes from time to time.”

Mr Beaulieu has worked in the hospitality industry for 25 years, gaining mixology experience in London before moving to Worthing to set up his first business.

His girlfriend and his brother help him run the different branches of the cocktail bar.
