Police said is occurred at around 7.30am this morning (Thursday, August 16) although it is not yet known what happened.
There is also slow-moving traffic eastbound on the A27 at Shoreham, due to a collision between a car and a van.
It happened somewhere near to the Sussex Pad pub site.
