West Sussex CAB services to merge

THREE Citizens Advice Bureaux (CAB) are planning to merge to help fight future funding cuts.

Adur and Worthing CAB, Arun and Chichester CAB and Central Sussex CAB are hoping to form a single West Sussex CAB.

It is thought the amalgamation will put them in a stronger financial position and help them provide a better service.

Margaret Bamford, chairman of trustees at Adur and Worthing CAB, said: “Strategically, a merger would allow us to bid for larger contracts.

“This would be crucial for our funding in the coming years.

“Having a single West Sussex bureau would also enable us to access technology in a way we are unable to do at the moment.

“Altogether it would mean a better service for everybody in West Sussex.”

CAB advice centres include Lancing, Shoreham, Worthing, and Littlehampton.
