This is why Worthing's Chapel Road Tesco Express has temporarily closed

The popular town centre store will be closed from today (February 10) until Thursday, inclusive, before reopening in time for Valentine's Day on Friday (February 14).

According to a store employee, maintenance being carried out on the shop's alarm system is the reason behind the closure.

The temporary shutting may force shoppers further afield in their search for convenient snacks, meals and other express retail needs between 6am and 11pm, seven days a week.

Some town centre workers who rely on the store's 'meal deals' may even turn to preparing their own lunches at home, possibly in a single batch to cover the four-day closure.
