Zen Internet bringing Full Fibre 900 to Worthing
Residents of Adur and Worthing can now benefit from phenomenal internet speeds after the area became the first in the UK to access Zen Internet’s gigabit consumer broadband service.
Capable of downloading HD movies in 38 seconds and the latest Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 hit, Cyberpunk 2077, in less than 10 minutes*, residents of Worthing now have access to the fastest broadband services available to any home in the UK delivered through award-winning service provider, Zen, in what is a transformation for the city’s digital capabilities.
The “Full Fibre 900 Plus” product will be further rolled out in the area, deployed through CityFibre’s national open access networks, with the town centre build planned for later this year and homes to go live in Adur in due course. The build will continue to accelerate across the towns of Adur and Worthing to reach almost every home and business in the area by 2023.
The new service, now available from today across around 9,000 homes in Worthing, initially costs £40 per month with free activation (usually £29.99) as a special launch offer from Zen.
A big increase in broadband speeds sounds like a good thing, but when you consider the overwhelmingly positive effect this can have on your daily life, it becomes essential. According to Zen, this service has the capability to unlock the full potential of every smart device in your home, and it provides a solid connection for home working, home schooling, entertainment and keeping connected, with multiple devices working from the same connection and no concern about any of them underperforming.
“We know people are looking forward to reaping the benefits of full fibre connectivity and we thank them for their patience while we continue to roll out the infrastructure,” says Adrian Smith, CityFibre’s City Manager for Adur & Worthing. “The speeds, reliability, and near infinite bandwidths will allow residents of Adur and Worthing to enjoy world class connectivity so they can stream, play and work the way they want to. We look forward to working with the community in the years to come to make full fibre available to even more homes.”
Making a difference
Working in partnership with the team at Worthing Golf Club, Zen Internet recently announced sponsorship of the Golf Academy, in a bid to support the Adur and Worthing community by investing in the next generation of golfers.
Zen prides itself on having a strong focus on doing the right thing for its people, customers and local communities, and this headline sponsorship of the Golf Academy is one example of putting these principles into action.
For example, a fun day was had on Saturday, September 25, when a three-ball competition over 11 holes was held. Delivered by Michael Henning, head professional WGC and P.G.A. director of golf at Worthing Golf Club, attendees enjoyed refreshments before trying their hand on the course, with expert direction from Michael and other senior club members. The all-day competition, also sponsored by Zen, identified some budding youth golfers with prizes of £100, £75 and £50 awarded to first, second and third places respectively.
“At Zen we’re committed to ensure that our responsibilities are embedded in our DNA. Paul Sinclair, Marketing Director at Zen Internet said. “As an award winning broadband provider we place excellent customer service at the heart of everything we do and as part of this outlook we are excited to see the benefits our Golf Academy sponsorship will deliver to local talented beginners.”
