Charity presents school with defibrillator

The life-saving device was given to Lyndhurst Infant School by the charity which was set up in memory of Connor Saunders who died after being assaulted.

Mrs Saunders said: “I am delighted that Lyndhurst Infant School have been presented with a defibrillator thanks to my son Connor’s foundation.

“We hope you never have to use it but should you need to in an emergency it is there to help save a life.”

The charity also spoke to the Year 2 pupils about having ‘kind hands’ and the children signed a ‘Be Kind Challenge’ banner.

Connor Saunders’ life was taken on April 14 2012 at just 19 years of age.

At the age of 16, Connor made the selfless decision to become an organ donor and because of this he saved five lives and helped enhance the life of a 10-month-old baby.

Connor’s family have set up the charity to keep his memory and legacy alive and to encourage people to be aware of the harm that can be done by just one senseless action.
