Davison students' celebrity client

A TEAM of business-minded girls at Davison High have added a celebrity to their client list.

A group of seven girls in year 10 at the school in Selborne Road, East Worthing, have set up a business called Reflections, as part of a competition run by Young Enterprise.

They were delighted when Rula Lenska, who has been starring in the Connaught's panto Jack and the Beanstalk, bought one of their products from a stall they were running in the town centre.

Rosalind Frayard-Smith, a member of the team, said: "Rula saw the stall and bought one of our products.

"The sale went very well as we nearly sold out of all our stock.

"We are really enthusiastic and are enjoying the experience of discovering how the world of business works.

"We didn't realise how demanding it is to start up a business.

"But we know it'll be worth it."

The team is made up of Rosalind, Amy Rowson, Carolyn Arnold, Rachael Shaw, Molly Holland, Natalie Smith and Mollie Beeson.

They sell hand-painted glass products, including photo frames and candle holders.

There are other businesses being run at the school as part of the competition and the winner will be announced in April.
