Deputy leader Lionel Barnard, who is responsible for waste, said: “The Wastebusters programme offers a wide range of guidance and ideas to help teachers and pupils create not only sustainable schools, but also eco-friendly homes and communities.

“It supports schools work towards all levels of Eco-Schools accreditation by providing clear and practical guidance on how schools might embed the principles of sustainable development into the heart of school life.”
