Worthing's Northbrook College opens new centre

Guest of Honour Simon Pilbeam, managing director of A and F Pilbeam Construction Ltd, cut the ribbon to officially open the facilities.

There was also the opportunity to tour the new facilities and to meet the teaching teams.

The facilities include state-of-the-art equipment and machinery, including a 3D printer, for engineering and construction.

Guests included representatives from industry and local 
businesses.

Northbrook also hosted a Sustainable Construction Exhibition which provided aplatform for local companies with sustainable products to showcase theirinnovations.

Helena Thomas, head of technology at the college, said: “Northbrook College is proud to open the new Centre for Technology.

“The centre ensures the College remains at the forefront for teaching and learning within the Engineering and Construction sectors.

“Meeting employer needs also continues to remain a focus for us with a clear line of sight to work for all of our learners.

We continue to offer a broad range of provision that is of high quality including apprenticeship programmes, part time courses as well as full time courses.”
