Chichester College delighted to support new education awards for Sussex.
Chichester College has expressed its delight in supporting a new awards evening which celebrates educational excellence across Sussex.
The college is one of the first sponsors to sign up for the West Sussex Education Awards, which is being organised by Johnston Press – publishers of the Chichester Observer, West Sussex Gazette and County Times (among other titles).
The college will sponsor the Career Aspiration category, which recognises schools which inspire children and young people to develop an understanding of different career paths as well as the opportunities available to them.
Shelagh Legrave OBE, Chief Executive of Chichester College Group – which includes Chichester College, Brinsbury and Crawley College, said: “We are delighted to be able to support the Education Awards and to celebrate the achievements of schools, pupils and staff in West Sussex.
“Recognising their successes is so very important and it is good to see education in our local area getting the credit it deserves.
“Sponsoring the career aspiration category was a natural choice for us, as a college.
“There are lots of different routes into careers, and many options available to school leavers and it’s important for schools to make as much information available to pupils as possible.”
