Here’s to all the people who have kept Horsham going during the pandemic.
From refuse workers to our NHS staff, teachers, supermarket workers, public transport workers, emergency services, construction workers, cleaners, and the countless volunteers who stepped up during lockdown - thank you.
We asked our readers to nominate people who they wanted to show some gratitude for so we can celebrate them. Here’s a photo gallery of some of the people who make us proud of Horsham.

Sarah Webb said: "I’d like my husband to be nominated. He’s worked through all this lockdown as a commercial bin man for Biffa he’s had about 170 jobs each day where at one job can be 17 big bins to pull and empty. He starts work at 4am every morning. He’s an amazing dad to five children. When he comes home from work there’s always something he does whether that’s decorating the house, going to tescos to do the food shop, or collect our babies formula milk from the chemist. Companies, schools, restaurants, pubs, cinemas etc wouldn’t get their rubbish taken away if it wasn’t for him and his work colleagues. He’s just amazing."
