Latest number of coronavirus cases recorded in Adur and Worthing – Friday, July 24

Worthing and Adur continue to record new cases of coronavirus but the rate has slowed since last week.

Six new cases were recorded in Worthing over the last seven days, bringing the total number of cases in the borough up to 409, according to figures from Public Health England.

During the previous week (July 10 to July 17), there were eight new cases reported. Read more here.

Adur has seen just one new reported case this week, rising to 188 since last Friday (July 17).

The week before it had recorded two new cases.

The total number of cases in West Sussex now stands at 2,768 - up by 39 since last Friday.

The figures include positive results from tests carried out in NHS settings, such as labs and hospitals, as well as at home or at drive-through centres
