Some pupils and staff have been forced to self-isolate, although it is unclear how many have been affected and when the case or cases were reported.

The school was working closely with Public Health England to monitor the situation, the letter added.

Again, it is unclear how many staff and pupils have been affected.

Upper Beeding Primary School has been contacted for comment.

Whytemead Primary School declined to comment.
