Worthing has lowest Covid-19 rates in England

According to Government data, Worthing recorded 28 cases per 100,000 people between November 20 and 26.

This is the lowest in England, including the only areas in the country in Tier 1, the lowest lockdown measures: Cornwall, the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight.

Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly had 34, and the Isle of Wight recorded 31.

This comes after Tim Loughton, MP for East Worthing and Shoreham, warned he would not vote for Adur and Worthing to put into Tier 2, as per the current Government plans which need Parliament ratification.
